The Lord, My Rock

"The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; M God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:2 NKJV) Think about this. God is your rock, therefore He is your foundation. And, foundations hold things up and keep them from sinking. Rocks are strong, and they shelter us. They can be tiny like the "still, small voice of God," or they can be massive all encompassing, and all around us. Rocks can also be inviting, after a lengthy climb, as a place to rest, reflect, and meditate. One of mom's favorite contemporary Christian songs says, "I will rest in you." God is your rock...your fortress, your strength, your shelter, your stronghold, your stability, and your place of peace. Think about all the many different ways you see God as your rock this week. Love, Beau

I am so grateful for the shelter of God's wings around me...soft and gentle and strong like a rock that can withstand any storm of the earth...
