The Tour Guide
"I cry out to the LORD with my voice; With my voice to the LORD I make my supplication. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me." (Psalm 142:1-3 NKJV) We go through the path of life with many things getting in our way. Some of these are our own weaknesses, bad habits, failing relationships. We can't work them out, we can't see solutions, and some things in life we just can't fix. We are also stubborn and hesistate to ask God for help and guidance. We don't think about the fact that the moment we turn to God for help things get easier. We find hope, insight, strength, guidance, encouragement and peace. God created everything, and knows the path you should take. He is our "tour guide" through life, and if you let Him lead you He will show you the way you should go. Just stay with Him, and let Him lead you through your path. Love, Beau

Resting for a Day
"Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings." (Leviticus 23:3) The word Sabbath means to stop. Stop working, stop cleaning the house, stop cooking, stop running around like a crazy person trying to get everything done...just STOP. God created the sabbath, not us. God in His infinite wisdom knew we needed a day to rest, reflect, renew and recharge. Otherwise, we would burn out and not be as effective. But so many of us today go 24/7, and we're tired, stressed, anxious, and burnt out. Consequently we are not as effective as we could be. What do you think would happen if, for just one day, you didn't do anything. Well, the laundry would still get done, the house might not be spotless but it would still be clean, and deadlines would still get met. Even better yet you would probably feel better, have more energy, and get even more accomplished. The Holy Bible says six days you shall work, and rest on the seventh. It didn't say it had to be on a Sunday. Many religions rest on Friday or Saturday. Pick YOUR sabbath. Now, here's the catch..it's a day of solemn rest, a HOLY day...so while you're resting remember it is also a day set aside to worship and praise God. Go to the church, synagogue, or temple of your choice, or how you praise God, and be sure to thank Him for your day of rest. Love, Beau

God Feels Your Pain
"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning? O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent." (Psalm 22:1-2) Not only did Jesus suffer physically only the cross from the tremendous pain of nails, severe dehydration, suffocation, probably severe sunburn, bug bites, and other things. But, he also suffered emotionally and psychologically. He cried out to God thinking and believing God had abandoned Him at the worst time of His life. That had to be heartbreaking, lonely, frustration, and even terrifying. Even though His family and friends were there, at least at first, I'm sure He felt totally alone. We all go through times of loneliness, grief, despair, hopelessness, and searching just as Jesus did. When you're searching for God know this, God is always with you and He's already there. Cry out to Him and He will answer. Also know this: God wants you to share your honest feelings and emotions no matter how angry, upset, and or in pain you are. He's waiting for you and He will never abandon you. Love Beau

Loved Always
"But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts. I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God." (Psalm 22:9-10) God has and is always with us. He created us and He has been with us ever since. We don't have to ask God to be with during our trials, tribulations, and even our joys. He's already with us. We don't have to seek Him for He is already here. Instead, we need to ask for insight, and be mindful, that God is always and already wtih us. God is literally only a heartbeat away. All you have to do is be still and know. Love, Beau

Pleasing God
"But when it pleased God,..." (Galatians 1:15a) We are workers for God, not His boss. And, God likes to come and go as He pleases, so we need to give God plenty of elbow room. It is not our place to plan, guess, and or assume how He will make things happen. That is His job. We are only to look for Him, and do as He says...but always expect the unexpected...God is full of surprises, and in the most unexpected ways. We need to be in constant contact with God, always be expecting Him, and move over and give God room so that His power may flow through in full force. Love, Beau

Exalt His Name!
"And in that day you will say: ' Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.'" (Isaiah 12:4 NKJV) Did something good happen to you today? Have your prayers be answered lately, or have you been blessed by God? Well, Praise Him! Thank Him by name! Go shout it to the world, tell everyone you know, even those you don't, but that you come into contact with. (Yeah, they may think you're crazy but they don't know you, and it will feel awesome.) Part of our witness for God is to share the good news of all kinds of things He has done for us, and to tell of His good works! It is the first thing we are supposed to do before we even tell others how they can have a relationship with God. God loves great publicity! So, what are you waiting for?! I challenge you to tell at LEAST 5 people today something God has done for you lately. Get up, get out, and start sharing! Love, Beau

Law of the Garbage Truck
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12 NKJV)
The following came to us in an email and it illustrates this Bible verse very well. It is called The Law of the Garbage Truck. How often do you let other people’s nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you’re the Terminator, you’re probably set back on your heels. However, the mark of your success is how quickly you can refocus on what’s important in your life. Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. And I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here’s what happened. I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck." He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around with full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it on you. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You will be happy you did. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. It was the day I decided, I ain't gonna do it anymore. I began to see garbage trucks. Like the movie 'The sixth sense' the little boy said, "I see dead people". Well now, "I see garbage trucks". I see the loads they carry. I see them coming to dump it. And, like my taxi driver, I don't fret. I just smile, wish and wave and move on. Roy Baumeister, a psychology researcher from Florida State University, found in his extensive research that we remember bad things more often than good things in our life. We store the bad memories more easily, and we recall them more frequently. So the odds are against you when a Garbage Truck comes your way. But when you follow The Law of the Garbage Truck™, you take back control of your life. You make room for the good by letting go of the bad. The best leaders know that they have to be ready for their next meeting. The best sales people know that they have to be ready for their next client. And the best parents know that they have to be ready to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses, no matter how many garbage trucks they might have faced that day. All of us know that we have to be fully present, and at our best for the people we care about. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let garbage trucks pass by. "Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't." Love, Beau
