Talented Disciples

"And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand....’ Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops." (Matthew 10:7, 27 NKJV) It doesn't matter how much you have, what you wear, or even what you do for a living. In the end when your body dies and you go before God, what He wants to know is who did you help, how did you change your world, and what efforts you made to bring people to God. The Holy Bible teaches us that we are to go out and preach. That doesn't necessarily mean we have to stand at a pulpit and give a sermon. What it means is that we are to share the word of God with others, tell them what He has done for us, what He can do for them, and that God loves them. God wants us to tell them that if they truly repent He will forgive them, wiping their slate clean, and give them a fresh start. God wants us to teach others how to come to Him. And, He wants us to use our unique talents and gifts to do this. Some by writing, others by music or art. Some even have special gifts with certain age groups. Whatever our gifts and talents, God wants us to utilize them to "go out into the world... ." Love, Beau

A Bright Future!

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV) Mom loves this Bible verse. She finds it comforting and reassuring. In some versions the word thoughts is replaced by plans. Either way, it tells us that God is not only thinking about us in the present, but also about us in the future, and that He is and will always be connected to us! It also tells us that He only wants peace and good things for us! When times get tough, we have a tendency to doubt and or question God, but God never doubts. hesitates, or acts with uncertainty. God knows what He wants for us and acts with unwavering grace and faith. God promises us that when our end comes, it will be positive and for our best. God comes to us forever in mercy and grace, and the things we endure will not be in vain! What blessed joy! Love, Beau

New Beginnings

It's a new day, new month, new year. And it's a chance to start over and have a new beginning! God tells us, "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, ' Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow;" and "As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us." (Isaiah1:18a; Psalm 103:12 NKJV) Thanks to Jesus dying for our sins, our past is forgiven so that we may start over. We can let go of all the pain, guilt, and regret and focus on a positive future! "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Cor. 5:17 NKJV) We are a new creation...and we can be the animal we want to be! We can even change our world! So, let us begin anew, happy and carefree...and remember to thank God for all our blessings! Love, Beau

Christ, Our Savior is Born!

"And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 'Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!' So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, 'Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.' And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. On Being A Prophet

" Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV) Jesus came into this world, not only to be our savior, but as a prophet for God. Before we were even created, God also ordained us to be His prophets. According to dictionary.com, a prophet is: a person chosen to speak for God and to guide the people; and, a person regarded as, or claiming to be, an inspired teacher or leader; a person who foretells or predicts what is to come, a person who speaks by divine inspiration. And, according to 1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV) prophets are a class of persons in the early church, next in order after the apostles, recognized as inspired to speak revelaations from God. God places us right behind His apostles! We are to go out into the world and speak on behalf of God, guiding and teaching others, through, with, and by divine inspiration, sharing His word and telling of things to come. But, we are also cautioned not to hold ourselves higher than others, to be content where we are, and not to do things out of selfishness. We are prophets, and God will reward those who are faithful! Signs

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14 NKJV) People kept asking Jesus how would they know when the son of God would come, so this verse is a response to the doubters, curious, non-believers, and those waiting with great anticipation. God gives us many signs....No, not the traffic signs you see when out. Subtle, less obvious signs that you have to stay alert for, and also that you have to quiet yourself and "be still and know that I am God." No doubt, Jesus is coming and we must prepare ourselves and our lives for the big celebration day. There are big and quiet signs all around us of His coming. So, as we prepare for this special day, let us take time to quietly and alertly watch, wait and "be still and know that He is God!" Love, Beau

Living in the Light

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12 NKJV) Just like the sun gives light to the world, so that we can find our way, so does Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus into the world to light our way and direct us down a new path. Jesus came so that we no longer have to walk in darkness and be pulled down by our sins, our guilt and our shame. He came so that we can have a new start, walk down a new path, and live in the light of joy and amazing love. Just like the sun, he always shines over us and lights our path, leading the that leads to life eternal! Love, Beau
